It was magical.
My story, that is. For every newscast a producer puts together a "rundown" of stories in the order you'll see them air. Each story has an abbreviated title to fit in the chart. My story tonight was listed as "Magic AIDS Tour."
It was sponsored by Magic Johnson. But the "Magic Johnson National blah blah blah Tour" wouldn't fit in the tiny rundown space, hence the MAGIC AIDS TOUR.
It made me giggle. I know. Again. *Real* mature.
But the best part, that kept me giggling-- the interviews that went along with this story. (I know, you're all thinking... what a cold, heartless--you know what--laughing about AIDS?!) Sorry. But really, it was just a good warm fuzzy story about free testing being offered at a mobile clinic. So there. No one died. OFF MY BACK.
Anyway, one of the men who was tested agreed to do an interview with us after testing negative. He eloquently described his experience:
"Well, I wanted to see if I had it. You never know how you can catch them things!"
Well. It isn't all that much of a unicorn mystery. But. Anyway.
he continued....
"...There are a lot of people packin' that stuff, don't know they got it. It's better to know."
Agreed kind sir.
Magical revelations.
