Boredom & Narcissism

OK, *boredom* isn't the right word.  I mean, when I say we get "bored" in the newsroom, that usually means we all still have a couple live shots, interviews, scripts and web copies to write within the next hour... but that all gets to be  SO unappealing. And, given a good number of us have undiagnosed severe cases of ADD, we see shiny objects and GAME OVER.

Or, in the case of my cubicle neighbor F-dub and I, we are way too easily amused with images of ourselves playing paper football, dressing F-dub in my earrings, glasses, etc.

Oh it's sick. And because I'm trying to wean myself off of myself, I won't post all the pictures here.  But here's a sampling of what ADD laced with a healthy dose of narcissism looks like.

This is one of dozens of photos taken 5 minutes before air time.  F-dub and I realize we are both wearing purple.  CLEARLY another photo op.  I call this one "Prom Date".

(What I didn't mention is how we post these pictures online and giggle at ourselves like giddy little school girls for hours.  We're SO funny and cute. Right? No?)
